About Me

I help people explore the connection between sexuality and self-inquiry — two dimensions of the human experience that are rarely brought together. Many of us carry layers of shame, guilt, or fear shaped by family, culture, and religion, which keep us from living authentically. These burdens can manifest as silence, secrecy, or self-betrayal, leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others.

My mission is to guide people with curiosity, to help shift fear into possibility and isolation into connection, so that sexuality can become a source of healing, self-knowledge, and liberation in all aspects of life. In my work, I create a safe(r), non-judgmental, and trauma-informed space where clients can question old beliefs, work through the weight of shame, and gently reconnect with their true desires and nature.

My work is grounded in my own lived experience. Raised in an oppressive religious sect in the conservative American South, I know what it means to deny desires, to suppress creativity and self-expression, and to fear being seen. Through self-inquiry, research and consciously seeking out spaces where I felt safe to have new experiences, I found a sense of self-acceptance and belonging. I’ve created Sexual Inquiry to offer this possibility to others, through a collaborative, reflective space where triggers become possibilities for learning, and reconnecting with authentic eroticism becomes a pathway to more agency and freedom.

I bring a multidisciplinary background to this work, blending over a decade of experience as a curator and cultural producer with specialized training in Holistic Sexuality Education (CHSE) and Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry approach. Education

In 2023, I became a Certified Holistic Sexuality Educator (CHSE) through the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment. This training approaches pleasure and solving sexual dysfunction from a holistic and intersectional perspective, integrating biological and anatomical knowledge with the psychological, social and cultural perspectives that shape our experiences.

In 2025, I completed the Professional Training in Compassionate Inquiry®, a psychotherapeutic and somatic approach to exploring patterns, behaviors and adaptations that we develop early in our lives. This program created by Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur elevates the wisdom of the body and our emotions as guides to understand ourselves – and the stories we tell ourselves – with curiosity and compassion.

Positionality Statement

I am a white, able-bodied, cisgender woman with dual US-European nationality and an upper middle class background. I hold a Bachelor's degree and additional certifications, and have benefited from the social safety net in the Netherlands.

I identify as queer but am straight-passing, I approach life from a sex-positive perspective and am well-versed in kink, sex work and ethical non-monogamy practices. I have worked with a Diamond Heart teacher for ten years to better understand my own experience and cultivate awareness of my blind spots. I actively seek to learn from others with differing viewpoints and bring an anti-oppression, diversity-affirming approach to my work, centering empathy, compassion, solidarity and inclusivity as core values.
